Review: HUSH (a LUSH novel) [Kindle Edition]

**Some Spoilers for the first book below - I will assume that you have read that book if you are looking at reviews for the second!**
In the first novel of the Lush Series, Lush, you learn that Bluebell's mother isn't really Aspen, and that Aspen has been drugging Blue to make her forget her friends and other things that Aspen finds inconvenient. The novel ends with this revelation.
In Hush, the second novel, Blue continues to search for clues on who her true mother really is. During her searches, she discovers that all might not be right with Concord and its government, and that the search for her mother is just the tip of the iceberg of lies, deaths, and manipulation that the Council has done and will continue to do if not stopped.
I enjoyed this novel more than the first... it didn't suffer from second novel syndrome (where the novel is only a bridge between the opening and ending "acts") but instead is a great story on its own. It ends on a cliffhanger, however, but all three books in the trilogy have been released so you don't have to wait for the resolution.
