Review: The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms

Yeine Darr has spent her life preparing to be the ennu of her people. When she is summoned to Sky, the palace of her Arameri grandfather, she finds herself thrown into palace intrigue, politics, and a brewing war between Gods.
The author has created a fabulously detailed world and the history to go along with it. Yeine is wise in the traditions of her people but naive when thrown into Arameri schemes. Through her eyes we're able to learn about the people around her and fall in love (or hate) with her. I loved how nothing was quite straightforward and there were still a few mysteries to reveal at the end of the story.
The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms is the first book in The Inheritance Trilogy, which I received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I will be reviewing the books separately and then writing a final review for the omnibus to make sure that every book is judged on its own merits and that I'm also able to comment on the combined experience.
