This novella is a great bridge between the three books of the Deadman Series, where Matthew was first a Sheriff and then a Marshall, and the new career that Matthew finds himself in. With Matthew and his son working together as private investigators in the Wild West, I look forward to Linell Jeppsen's continued tales. A good mix of action and explanation, Lucky Chance is the brilliant beginning to a new chapter in Matthew Wilcox's life.
