Review: License to Date
This book is like candy... it's sweet and makes me happy, and it's short so didn't take too long to read, while still managing to develop the main characters enough so that I actually liked them. License to Date is the sixth book in Susan's Hatler's "Better Date than Never" series, but can be read as a standalone. I'm assuming that some of the other background characters are introduced in the first five books, but you don't lose anything by reading this alone.
Kaitlin is understandably upset... she found out that her fiance was cheating on her shortly before the wedding, and she's just now starting to get her life settled around her again. Needless to say, dating is not really on the plan. In a neat twist, her two friends convince her that if she goes on five dates, they'll help her paint her entire house...that's something like 2000 square feet of free labor. Things go awry, however, when Kaitlin falls for someone who was NOT on her dating list,
This is a sweet romance, showing up that hope sometimes still exists after disappointment. If you're a fan of happily ever after, I suggest giving this a try!
