Review: Dragonseye
My first book for #PaperbackSummer is Dragonseye by Anne McCaffrey. This book, set 257 years after the colonists first settled Pern, takes us to the brink of a new Pass, showing us the struggles with the colonists have with adapting to their world while letting go of the burdens and technology of the past. This is a fun book, with well-developed characters, moments of anguish, and threads of laughter woven through. I wouldn't say that it's the best McCaffrey book I've read, but it's become one of my favorite Pern novels, as a great bridge between Landing and the Pern we're introduced to in Dragonflight.
