Review: Awake at Dawn
Awake at Dawn is the second book in the Shadow Falls series, and it continues Kylie's journey of self-discovery at the Shadow Falls camp. I really liked this book... Liked it enough that it's now 3am and I read it straight though. Hubby will probably growl at me in the morning for staying up so late on a work night... Oops! At least I don't start work until late morning.
Anyway, on to the story. This second book is great because we've gotten past the "I can't be a supernatural" plot of the first book and we're really able to start examining Kylie's powers and history, trying to determine who she is. There are also some fun relationship issues, her mother's surprise visit, the drama between Kylie and her father, plus suspense, mystery and - of course - ghosts. This book was better than the first and I'm really excited to start reading the third... I should probably sleep for the night, however, and start book three tomorrow after work!
