Review: Ground and Pound

I will start this out with a warning. In this short story, you will find violence, sex, and graphic language.
Now that the disclaimer is over, I'll mention what else you'll find in this story. Fighting. Retribution. Ghosts. And a neat little twist at the end. Without giving away too much, I really enjoyed Ground and Pound. I've only read one other story by this author so far (Magno Girl and the Beast of Brooklyn) but this is just as good in a different way. Where Magno Girl and the Beast of Brooklyn is full of tongue-in-cheek humor about superheroes and villains, Ground and Pound is about your normal, everyday heavy-weight fighter. With a Ghost. It's darker. It's more violent and there is more profanity. But I LOVED the ending... maybe I'm just a little vindictive, but I found it satisfying. I smiled. It may have been an evil little "don't make the red-headed Irish woman angry" type smile, but it was a smile.
So if you want a ghost story with a twist and don't mind sex and profanity, pick this book up. It's currently for free through BN.com for the Nook and also free on Smashwords, and if you're nice and contact the author if may even send you a MOBI copy for free since Amazon hasn't price-matched this yet.
NOTE: I went to Amazon's site when I left my review there and there is a spot where you can report seeing a lower price... so I reported the BN.com NOOK price for it in the hope that we can get Amazon to price match it as well since the author's Booklikes post about it mentioned that Amazon wouldn't let him make it free.
