Review: My Journey To Heaven And Back [Kindle Edition]

"My Journey to Heaven and Back" by Rebecca D. Myers is a story of all of the times that she should have died, and somehow survived. Starting with being abandoned as a child and the abuse she was put through over the years (which is explained in more detail in her book, "Remember, Not a Word"), in addition to being hit by a car, suffering (and living through!) MRSA, as well as other situations where normally a person would die... Rebecca somehow survives.
While this book is Christian-based, it manages to give minor details on church and Rebecca's relationship with God without being preachy. I am not a Christian myself, and I was not bothered by any of the stories in this book because they are displaying her personal belief set, which does not compromise my belief set in any way. However, if you easily get offended by reading books that mention religion, you may want to wander elsewhere. However, if you are able to keep an open mind and understand that even if you don't have the same beliefs, that Rebecca's beliefs were strong enough to keep her alive and make her the person she is today. And I can respect that.
