Review: The Naphil's Kiss [Kindle Edition]
A different take on the struggle between heaven and hell, angel & demon

With those disclaimers out of the way, let me get to the actual story here. Though this story is primarily about a Succubus, an Incubus, and a Naphil (half angel), there was surprisingly LESS sex in here than I expected. Not only that, but the sex scenes weren't overly exaggerated and seemed to have a purpose. If you're looking for porn, this probably isn't the book for you... after all, there is actual plot that gets in the way!
Sarahi is a Succubus who must feed on the energies of love/lust/sex to live. Instead of letting her lover, Alexander, turn into a mindless drone, she kills him on purpose to keep his soul free. Shortly afterward, in grief, she meets a Naphil for the first time. The Nephilim have taken sacred vows of chastity and to also kill Succubae when found, before they can corrupt men. Lucien, the Naphil, spares Sarahi's life. Over the next 2000 years, Sarahi and Lucien meet up with each other time and time again, each time with Lucien sparing Sarahi, and Sarahi attempting (but not succeeding) to seduce Lucien. Both remember the one kiss they shared in ancient Rome, and what they find is that they have fallen in love with each other over the course of the years; a love forbidden by both of their species. That love will forever change the battle between heaven and hell.
This novel explores how thin the line can be between trust & betrayal, how no one is exactly who you thought they were, and how even a minor decision can change the world. And more importantly, that love is something that can endure over years and can make a person stronger.
Just remember.... your actions make you what you are, angel or demon.
