Review: Shadow in the Dark (SI) [Kindle Edition]
A quick and brilliant conclusion!
Sharon L. Reddy's SI Trilogy is best read as one long book, because honestly you will fly through the stories and almost not notice that you're going from one book to another. Shadow in the Dark is a spectacular ending to this series that manages to wrap up all of the loose ends nicely but also leave you hoping for more stories about the characters.
While the books may seem confusing in spots while trying to remember all of the different people and nicknames the main characters have, their personalities shine through, allowing you to follow the story of a family that became a clan... and a clan that changed the universe. This is not a stand-alone book as you do need to read the first two in order to understand the pacing of the story as well as why certain events are celebrated, but I believe that this would be money worth spent.... especially if you look at the number of pages per book! Adding together the Print Length from each book as well as the current cost of each book, you would be purchasing the entire trilogy for $9.27... for a Print Length of 1132 pages!
Before I start sounding like an infomercial (Act right now and also receive a 2nd copy of the book for only shipping & processing! Not really... LOL) I'll just close by saying that this series is fun, witty, intelligent, and captivating. Every time you re-read it, you'll catch something new that you didn't notice, or you'll put together facts that are more evident once you're read later chapters. This book is made for people who enjoy going back and reading their book and putting the pieces of a puzzle together.
Disclaimer #1: I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Disclaimer #2: This book is so good I would sell my husband to read it. Oh wait... husband selling is illegal. Never mind. I'd still buy the book. ^_^
