Review: CRUSH (a LUSH novel) [Kindle Edition]

NOTE: Yes there are spoilers from the first two books below, but I have tried to make them less obvious without giving out all of the details. But it's difficult to review a third book in a series without referencing the first two, especially when all three are tied so well together. And speaking of the first two books...
Well, you can imagine my surprise when I went to review Crush, the last book in the LUSH Trilogy, and discovered that I hadn't posted my reviews on here yet... oh no! That was quickly corrected so you are able to see the reviews for all three novels now.
-----
Crush, the third book in the LUSH Trilogy, is a stunning conclusion to a great trilogy. In some ways, you have your standard dystopian society with citizens completely controlled by the government. However, it's a new approach, separating citizens strictly by fertility and concentrating your medical needs to making people pretty on the outside but not being able to correct diseases on the inside.
But that's something that we learned about in Books 1 & 2. If you're reading this review, I'm going to assume that you want to know a little about Book 3 and why you should read it.
The obvious answer is: You should read it because it's the finale to the trilogy, and also because the second book ends with a cliffhanger.
The less obvious answer is: Because this book is honestly good. I was afraid that the resolution would be rushed, or would feel rushed. But it doesn't, because the first two books have lead nicely up to this point where the author can tie up all of the loose ends, make the majority of the readers happy (because you can never make everyone happy) and free the people trapped by the evil government. Though this is a story that has been written over and over with different tweaks and twists to try to make it unique, I find that this trilogy actually does a really great job of making this different than every other futuristic Orwellian saga. The ending may not be a Happily Ever After ending, but it's a good ending to a really good trilogy.
