Review: Slow Down [Kindle Edition]
Slow Down is a short little story that I picked up for free from Amazon that tells the story of a selfish, uncaring man who is always impatient, wonders why clients don't like him, and continuously speeds, even though his residential neighborhood.
The story starts out with Scott having just rear-ended a woman who apparently stopped in front of him, while Scott was driving and talking on his cell phone. Scott apparently didn't see her in time to avoid hitting her, and of course lays the blame on her. The short story continues from there with a touch of the mystical at the end.
Overall, it's a good, short story, but somewhat predictable. I'm not sure that I would pay the $0.99 that it is normally listed at, since it's very very short, but for free I can't complain. I got more than what I paid for. The upside to this story is that it gives enough detail about how John T. Gaffield writes that I can tell that I don't dislike his writing style or how he handles his characters. And hey, it's free.
