Review: Glitch (Lost in Time Book 1) [Kindle Edition]
When you always know the day you will die...are you really living?
Meet your new zombie aftermath book, where as usual everyone is cowed into staying within the walls because they are all afraid of the zombies outside. What everyone doesn't know is.... the zombies don't exist.
Or they do.
Maybe.
This is something that you'll need to read to find out, because one of the things you learn in this book is that the future is fluid and what what happens in one timeline may not happen in another. However, your handy DOD (Date of Death) wristband will let you know how soon you will die, and it also somehow knows when something about to kill you will happen, and you will actually see your DOD drop in a threatening situation. A useful device, right? Of course, you don't mind giving up your privacy, because nothing with the DOD is private. You location, your phone calls, your texts, and even medical information such as a high heart rate are all recorded through your DOD wristband and sent off to EA, the rules of Brighton. Life in this town should be paradise, with no crime and your future planned out in front of you.
Abby is a glitch, born on February 29th, so every three years they controllers have to be reminded that she is another year older. But this isn't the only thing that makes Abby unique.
This book isn't perfect, and at times you have more questions than answers. Toward the end of the story, some of those questions are answered... some other questions are raised... and I certainly have a few guesses that might clear up others. But the plot of the book is excellent and unusual, even if you have to pay a little bit more attention to keep up with what is going on sometimes.
NOTE: I received this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
